Historical Jesus

This is a fascinating debate between William Lane Craig and Bart Ehrman. Particularly interesting is Ehrman's insistence that a proper historian cannot even consider God as an explanation for anything. My only question is: well, what if God did do something? Doesn't that mean he is willing to limit his choices simply due to his a priori philosophical commitments?
