I love this song because its sound and its message. This song was written when U2 was near their musical peak (that peak came with Achtung Baby).

I think the message accurately portrays Paul's sentiment in Philippians 3:12 "Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own."

The lyrics speak of belief and doubt in the same breath. I think that's an accurate view of what a believer experiences in life. I think the strongest lyric is, "I still believe."
